We have great weather and to make use of it and still have some gaming fun you can try this great, throwing game invented in Finland – Molkky.

To play this you need some space (outside but I will probably try this on next Knavecon as well) and at least 2 players or 2 teams. Game contains of 12 wooden pins (skittles) and 1 wooden pin called ‘molkky’. Set up is easy:

Pins are positioned 3 or 4 meters from throwing place and we are ready to play 😉 Knocking one pin scores points showing on it, knocking over more than one pins scores amount of pins knocked over (2 pins scores 2 points, 5 pins scores 5 points etc.). After each throw you position knocked pins exactly where they landed. First team to reach exactly 50 points wins, if you get more than 50 than you are penalized and moved back to 25 points.

Game is super easy and fun to play even with small kids

Some tactical skills are needed when playing against competitive adults – should you go for group of pins (easier to hit) or maybe try to hit this 12 points lonely pin?

If you miss 3 times in a row (scores no points) you are out of game – usually we would not use this rule while kids are playing.
