Imperial Settlers

P1070599Imperial Settlers is pretty much best Polish design in recent years and I am lucky one to have a copy signed by it’s designer Ignacy Trzewiczek (it’s says ‘Green Fields of Ireland’).

This game is simple worker placement/card drawing for 1 to 4 players. Below are few pictures of it cartoonish style graphics.

Card of the Dead

If you have 10 minutes and like zombie theme I advise you to check (and play) Card of the Dead. It’s just very easy and fun to play filler card game, it’s very luck dependent but it’s OK with this game πŸ˜‰

[Wishlist] Doomtown: Reloaded

I don’t know this universe and did not play CCG game Deadlands: Doomtown but this one looks very, very interesting. It’s AEG new format called Expandable Card Game which will be something similar to FFG’s LCG.Β Doomtown: Reloaded can be played by 2-4 players which is great (so many great 2-players only card games that nobody wish to play as 2-players only) . I like specific English used on the cards (will probably need to check with native Texans on some words and terms). I like graphics style. I am not big Western fan but hope to play this at some stage. Check out Boardgamegeek for more

If only anyone put this up on upcoming Irish Math Trade…eh πŸ˜‰

[Wishlist] Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game

Rune Age

Rune Age is deck-building game and is surprisingly good, there are few scenarios to play and 4 different races to choose, solo play is possible on some scenarios which is why I have borrowed this game. Card graphics are great as you would expect from Fantasy Flight Games productions. This game is not that expensive (around €25) and if you are deck-building fan you should try it out.

Boss Monster

It’s card game, it 8-bit, it’s Boss Monster and it’s cool. Cost me €23 (somewhere in Poland). Rules are pretty straightforward and you play as ‘bad’ character. Highly recommend πŸ˜‰

Race for the Galaxy

Again, make sure you have somebody to play before you buy this…ahh no, you can play this game online or with computer AI. Anyway, it’s great! Rules are easy, icons are complicated at first but after few games you get used to it. I would highly recommend to waste your money on Race for the Galaxy, it is worth it! My copy purchased from Board Game Guys – highly recommend those lads πŸ˜‰

Star Wars the Card Game

Make sure you have somebody to play before you buy it as it is only 2-player game (future expansions will make it 3/4 player..apparently). It’s LCG so if you like it you will suffer financially. Core set is around 25 euro, Force Packs are 12-15 euro. Rules are easy (only 21 pages of questions on BGG rules forum πŸ˜‰ ), graphics are excellent, my problem is that nobody wants to play it πŸ˜‰
